Laguna Lake Watershed
LIFE has chosen a large and complex watershed which has Laguna de Bay in the center (surrounding 24 sub-basins officially designated by LLDA), the Pasig River, and the marine waters where it discharges into the Manila Bay. This has provided LIFE and its partners a venue in reaching its overall goal of working with barangay committees and local government units (LGUs) in developing a Natural Resources Management plan for the watershed.
Million Trees Project
The Million Trees Project will serve as a venue for more pro-active responses to environmental issues through tree planting and reforestation activities. It will also draw out mechanisms that will systematically involve the Lasallian Family in sustainable reforestation and greening efforts in close partnership and coordination with local communities; and, educate/raise awareness of the Lasallian Family as well as people belonging to the various partner communities on the importance of natural ecosystems such as forests through tree-planting and reforestation activities that promotes a more practical “learning-by-doing” approach in environmental education.
Eco-Camp
The Eco-Camp is a yearly event which gathers students, faculty, and staff of various Lasallian Institutions and promotes education and awareness of different environmental concerns.
